Intricately tucked on the summit of a hill and literally surrounded by parkland and thickly wooded ravines, Casa Loma is without a doubt an irresistible residential enclave. It has the look and feel of an enchanted forest from a fairy tale, courtesy of The Casa Loma castle. The castle, which is the jewel of the neighborhood, strikes a silhouette look and affords this high end Toronto neighborhood a romantic backdrop. The neighborhood is bordered by St. Clare to the North, Bathurst to the west, Spadina to the east CP railway tracks to the south.

Apart from the giant Casa Loma castle on the hill, another positive of the neighborhood is its large old trees, many fancy cars and its signature ravine setting. A brief dig into the neighborhood’s history reveals how it ended up being a widely sought after up market neighborhood. The neighborhood was given to the city by a debt laden owner and what followed were interests by wealthy businessmen who saw an opportunity to invest in the neighborhood.

Like any home seeker would expect, there are more than enough single family houses in Casa Loma. Most of them are large Edwardian, English Cottage and Tudor style homes built between 1905 and 1940. But the neighborhood also boasts of a fine blend of co-ownership apartment buildings, condos, luxury townhomes, duplex and triple houses.

If Lady Luck is with you and get an apartment rental on the south side of Lyndhurst Court, rest assured of spectacular views of Lake Ontario and Toronto’s skyline. Expect to pay anything between $720 to $800 for a studio, $820 to $835 for a spacious one bedroom apartment and $1030 to $ 1045 for a two bedroom apartment. Keep in mind that prices change from one location to another.
